Universal Transport in Hamburg: New construction of our Hamburg branch has started

It took several years to find and prepare a suitable property: Now the starting signal has finally been given for the new Universal Transport Hamburg branch. The new site in Hamburg-Rahlstedt is conveniently located just a few minutes’ drive from the A1, Stapelfeld junction. Covering an area of around 5,500 m2, it offers ideal conditions for the future location in the Hanseatic city.

In addition to the office wing and a hall with storage space and workshop for minor repairs, there will also be urgently needed parking spaces for vehicles of the company’s fleet. On the current premises there were neither suitable parking spaces nor a possibility for the further development of the branch.

The move will take place by the end of the year. The first work began mid-April. At the end of April, the developer began excavating the foundations. This is followed by the building construction, further excavating work as well as the entire paving, fencing and lighting of the area.

Stephan Stender, Branch Manager Universal Transport Hamburg: “At the end of 2020, the lease for our current location would have expired anyway. With the acquisition of the new site, we have found an ideal and future-proof solution that is well connected in terms of transport technology and offers enough space. “
